Elevated Lead Levels in Cinnamon

Several brands of cinnamon have been recalled for containing lead. These brands include La Fiesta, Marcum, MK, Swad, Supreme Tradition, and El Chilar. The FDA investigation into cinnamon products began when several children were reported with elevated lead blood levels after eating a cinnamon applesauce product. The FDA is advising all consumers to dispose of these products immediately.
