On December 21, 2012, Health Canada warned that this product had been found to be adulterated with the prescription weight loss drug sibutramine (Meridia) (18909). Advise people not to use this product.

On September 15, 2014, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned that this product was found to be contaminated with the unsafe weight loss drug sibutramine (Meridia), the potentially dangerous laxative phenolphthalein, the local anesthetic benzocaine, and the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug diclofenac (21084). Advise patients not to take this product.
