On December 19, 2014, the manufacturer recalled certain lots of this product because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found to be contaminated with sibutramine (Meridia), an unsafe drug previously prescribed for weight loss, its analogue desmethylsibutramine, and also phenolphthalein, a potentially dangerous laxative (28032). Advise patients not to take this product.
