Topically: Severe itching, inflammation, and blistering with fresh skunk cabbage.
Dermatologic ...Topically, fresh skunk cabbage can cause severe itching, inflammation, and blistering (4,4502).
Gastrointestinal ...Orally, large amounts of skunk cabbage have been reported to cause nausea and vomiting (18,4502). Excessive use can cause abdominal cramps, burning, blistering in the mouth and throat, nausea, and watery or bloody diarrhea (12).
