Per the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), about 90,000 bottles of dietary supplements including the ingredient kratom have been seized by U.S. Marshalls. The products were manufactured for Dordoniz Natural Products LLC. According to the FDA, Mitragyna speciosa, also known as kratom, can cause serious side effects including vomiting, nervousness and weight loss, and can cause dependence and withdrawal symptoms when taken regularly. The FDA warns consumers not to take any products containing kratom.
