Who's hounding after horehound?

Horehound (Marrubium vulgare) was the number one best selling herb in the U.S. in 2016, according to the recently published HerbalGram Market Report. This is its 4th year in a row in the top spot. For many, including the team at Natural Medicines, this comes as a big surprise. But the explanation makes a lot of sense. Horehound is commonly used in cough remedies, including Ricola cough drops, which likely accounts for its steady presence on the top sellers list.
