FDA: Picamilon is Not a Dietary Ingredient

Following a recent study that suggests many vinpocetine and picamilon supplements are mislabeled, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that picamilon is not considered a dietary ingredient. Any products sold as dietary supplements that contain this ingredient are therefore considered contaminated. Despite this announcement by the FDA, picamilon is still currently available in many dietary supplements sold in the United States. Approximately 50 products contain picamilon in our Commercial Products Database.
