Ayurvedic Dietary Supplements Contain High Levels of Lead, Mercury

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a consumer warning about Baidyanath brand Ayurvedic dietary supplements. Testing has confirmed that these products contain high levels of lead and/or mercury. The FDA is advising anyone with these products to stop taking them immediately and to notify their healthcare provider, even if exposure symptoms are not present. High exposure to either of these ingredients can cause serious health problems.
