New research shows that taking a specific product (Droglican, Bioiberica, S.A., Barcelona, Spain) containing 400 mg of chondroitin sulfate plus 500 mg of glucosamine hydrochloride three times daily for 6 months is as effective as taking the prescription drug celecoxib for osteoarthritis pain. For more details, please review our recently updated glucosamine hydrochloride monograph.
