Monograph Update: Panax Ginseng Reduces Flu Risk

New research shows that taking a specific extract of Panax ginseng (Panax Ginseng C.A. Meyer) 1 gram three times daily for 12 weeks reduces the risk of getting the flu by 45%. However, it does not seem to reduce severity of flu symptoms or the length of the illness. For more details, review our recently updated Panax ginseng monograph for all of the latest information on effectiveness, safety, and interactions.
