Lactobacillus amylovorus Reduces Body Fat

A new clinical trial shows that drinking a beverage containing of fragmented Lactobacillus amylovorus CP1563 (CP1563) 200 mg daily for 12 weeks significantly reduces body fat and improves glucose and lipid measurements in obese people with a BMI of 25-30 kg/m2. Significant reductions were seen in triglycerides, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels as well as diastolic blood pressure.
