Monograph Update: Fish Oil Might Slow Colorectal Cancer

Early clinical research suggests that taking a specific fish oil supplement (Omega-3; Phytomare, Governador Celso Ramos, SC, Brazil) 2 grams daily containing 360 mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 240 mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) for 9 weeks along with chemotherapy significantly slows tumor progression in people with colorectal cancer.
