Interactions Checker Tool

Quickly screen for interactions between natural medicines and prescription or over-the-counter drugs. Select single ingredients or choose multi-ingredient supplement products from our Commercially Available Products database to pull in all relevant ingredients at once. Plus, get evidence-based interaction ratings to help you determine which interactions are the most clinically significant. Note: This tool only screens for Drug-Supplement interactions. It does not screen for Drug-Drug or Supplement-Supplement interactions. • Multiple drugs, ingredients & therapies, and commercial products may be selected for screening. • Search Drugs: Enter prescription or over-the-counter drugs individually (e.g. Aspirin, Tylenol, or Warfarin). Select each drug from the drop-down menu. • Search Foods, Herbs, & Therapies: Enter natural medicine ingredients (e.g. Ashwagandha, Melatonin, or Vitamin D) and/or therapies (e.g. Ketogenic diet, Massage, or Yoga) individually. Select each ingredient or therapy from the drop-down menu. • Search Commercially Available Products: Enter product names individually (e.g. Calcium 600 mg by Kirkland Signature, Multi Adult Gummies by Nature Made, or Ultra Strength Sleep by OLLY). Select each product from the drop-down menu. Check “Show Discontinued Products” if applicable. • Selected Items will appear at the bottom of the search pane. Multiple drugs, ingredients & therapies, and commercial products may be selected for screening. • Once all desired items have been selected, click View Results. • Interactions will display in the right results pane, in order of most severe to least severe (Major --> Minor). Select “Expand All” or “Collapse All” to show or hide details for each interaction. • Select Clear All to delete selected items and start a new search.
