This product has been found to contain or is suspected of containing aristolochic acid. Aristolochic acid is a toxin that can cause renal failure. The Food and Drug Administration considers all products containing aristolochic acid to be unsafe and adulterated (6118). Aristolochia, which is a source of aristolochic acid, is also banned in Germany, Austria, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Japan, Canada, and other countries.
